Togetherness! Learning! Celebration! While our print stories dive deep into their subjects in Issue 15, these talks promise to get even DEEPER as the writers tell us about pursuing their dream projects and watching the stories of Oklahoma change over time.
Brent is a freelance writer in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She often covers culture and community for Tulsa People and previously reported on ranching and business for Osage News. She holds an MFA in Creative Nonfiction from the Institute for American Indian Arts. She is a member of the Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma.
Wallis is an American journalist, popular historian, author and speaker. He has written seventeen books, including Route 66: The Mother Road, about the historic highway U.S. Route 66. His work has also been published extensively in magazines and newspapers, including Time, Life, People, Smithsonian, The New Yorker, and The New York Times. Wallis is also the voice of Sheriff in the Disney/Pixar franchise Cars.
